We know you’ve heard about all of the #peanutpower chatter. Want to know how it all got started?
To get people excited that #peanutpower and America’s peanut farmers had arrived in New York, and to kick-off a week of Perfectly Powerful Peanut Pop-Up events, we delivered nearly 150 PB&J lunches to New Yorkers on Monday, March 30.
On Sunday, March 29, New Yorkers told us why they wanted a PB&J lunch by tweeting “I want #peanutpower because _____” and filling in the blank. Those selected received a free Peanut Butter & Company peanut butter and jelly sandwich, carrots, apple slices, a #peanutenvy peanut shaped stress reliever, coupons and a sweet peanut treat. All deliveries were made by Zipments courier service in a three hour window between 59th and Houston Street in Manhattan. Recipients were encouraged to share selfies of themselves enjoy their PB&J lunch using #peanutpower.

The best part about it is that we were able to capture some of the deliveries on camera! Here are a few sneak peak shots of a Zipments courier biking through New York to make a sandwich delivery. Stay tuned for the video!
We can’t wait to see more #peanutpower inspired posts when we visit additional cities throughout the year! Find out more by visiting www.perfectlypowerfulpeanut.org
