National Peanut Board Announces Upcoming Quarterly Board Meeting

JANUARY 7, 2014--ATLANTA--The National Peanut Board will hold its quarterly Board and committee meetings in Atlanta, Ga., Feb. 4 – 5, 2014. NPB’s Diversity Advisory Committee & Council will meet in conjunction with the board meeting.
 
The Board’s Research Committee will consider requests for FY 14 funding for production research from state peanut producer organizations and universities. Funding production research to make America’s peanut farmers more competitive is a core part of the Board’s mission.
 
Special guest speaker, Mike Guanella, Senior Brand Manager for Skippy Peanut Butter and Senior Product Manager at Hormel Foods, will share about business development and positive market conditions for peanuts and peanut products.
