Jan. 27, 2021 – ATLANTA –The Georgia Peanut Commission, Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation, South Carolina Peanut Board and Texas Peanut Producers Board are seeking eligible peanut producers who are interested in serving on the National Peanut Board.
Nominations election meetings will be held to select two nominees each for member and alternate from each area to serve on the National Peanut Board. All eligible producers are encouraged to participate. Eligible producers are those who are engaged in the production and sale of peanuts and who own or share the ownership and risk of loss of the crop.

The Georgia Peanut Commission (GPC) seeks eligible peanut producers who are interested in serving on the National Peanut Board. GPC will hold a nominations election to select two nominees each for member and alternates to the National Peanut Board during a meeting on March 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. EST, at the GPC office, 445 Fulwood Blvd, Tifton, Georgia 31794. All eligible producers are encouraged to participate. Eligible producers are those who are engaged in the production and sale of peanuts and who own or share ownership and risk of loss of the crop.
Andy Bell of Climax, Georgia is the current Georgia National Peanut Board Member and Casey Cox of Camilla, Georgia serves as the current alternate. The terms for the current Georgia Board member and alternate expire Dec. 31, 2021.
The National Peanut Board encourages the inclusion of persons of any race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation and marital or family status. NPB encourages all persons who qualify as peanut producers to attend the meeting and run for nomination.

The Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation will hold a nominations election to select two nominees each for member and alternate to the National Peanut Board during a Zoom Virtual Conference Call meeting Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 1:00 p.m. CST, as previously mentioned in an earlier media release. Micah Barham of Oak Ridge, Louisiana is the current At-large National Peanut Board member and Lucy Shackelford of Bonita, Louisiana serves as the current alternate.

South Carolina Peanut Board (SCPB) seeks eligible peanut producers who are interested in serving on the National Peanut Board.
The SCPB will hold a nominations election to select two nominees each for member and alternate to the National Peanut Board on March 16 at 12:00 p.m. EST at the Commodity Training Facility, 350 Ballard Court, West Columbia, South Carolina 29172. All eligible producers are encouraged to participate. Eligible producers are those who are engaged in the production and sale of peanuts and who own or share ownership and risk of loss of the crop.
Bud Bowers of Estill, South Carolina is the current National Peanut Board member and Neal Baxley Jr. of Mullins, SC, serves as the alternate. The terms for the current South Carolina board member and alternate expire Dec. 31, 2021.

TPPB will now hold a nominations election to select two nominees each for member and alternate to the National Peanut Board on March 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. CST at Wildcatter Ranch and Resort, 6062 Highway 16. S, Graham, Texas, 76450. All eligible producers are encouraged to participate. Eligible producers are those who are engaged in the production and sale of peanuts and who own or share ownership and risk of loss of the crop.
Peter Froese Jr. of Seminole, Texas is the current National Peanut Board member and Jeff Roper of Lubbock, Texas, serves as the alternate. The terms for the current Texas board member and alternate expire Dec. 31, 2021.
