Don’t Sell Out—“Shell Out” and Show Your Love For Peanuts

By Peanut Vendor

As the Peanut Vendor, it’s well known that I love peanuts. Some people say I’m “obsessed” with them and that I should “get help.” But I have great news—there’s someone who loves peanuts even more than me! And that’s former professional football player Charles “Peanut” Tillman.

Tillman is partnering with the National Peanut Board for the launch of an exciting new campaign. Some people might call him a sell out for doing something like this, but we all know better. He’s not a sell out—he’s a Shell Out! And he’s helping us share all the different ways you, a peanut-loving American, can #ShellOut for peanuts.

Now, what exactly does that mean? This is something you might be saying to your own reflection right now, and that’s understandable. Shelling Out is simple—it just means you do something, anything, to celebrate your love for peanuts. You can do this in private if you want, alone, in front of your reflection, but it’s way more fun if you take a photo or video and post it online with the hashtag #ShellOut.

Some of my favorite examples:

  • Eat peanut butter for breakfast every day. That’s right—every day!
  • Adopt a rescue dog and name it Peanut. That’s heroic...and adorable!

If you’re still not getting it, don’t worry—simply watch the new video starring Charles “Peanut” Tillman and watch him Shell Out in a variety of nut-crackingly hilarious ways.

You can check out Tillman showing his love for the perfectly powerful peanut on Twitter and Instagram at @PeanutsHere.
