Want a powerful way to start your day? Add some #PeanutPower to your morning meal for a boost of protein to keep you feeling full. With kids heading back to school, breakfast is an important part of the day, but sometimes the morning rush can throw off the routine meal. That’s why we partnered with chef and pediatrician Dr. Julia Nordgren to feature a video for simple overnight oats with quick and easy add-ins including peanuts and peanut butter.
We worked with lifestyle blogger LizVentures to host a Twitter Party and discuss ways to power breakfast with peanuts and peanut butter. Nearly 200 people participated in the conversation and shared their favorite breakfast foods and challenges.
Here are some of the answers participants provided to questions about breakfast and adding peanuts and peanut butter to their morning meals:
Dr. Julia Nordgren, MD @drjuliacooks
I love steel cut oats with a delicious scoop of PB and loads of fresh blueberries #peanutpower
Licia Michelle @MissHeartofGold
I like to put peanut butter on my waffles and bagels #peanutpower
Aimee Anderson @dragonflyame
I like granola with peanut butter keeps me feeling full and energized #peanutpower
Elizabeth @GoudaCheese007
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Quesadillas are a fav of ours! #peanutpower
The chat showed how adding peanuts and peanut butter can make for a more satisfying breakfast. And thanks to Dr. Julia’s video, partygoers also learned how to make oatmeal the night before for morning meals on the fly. For more recipes and inspiration, check out the recipe page on breakfast.
