Missouri Farm Bureau Seeks At-Large National Peanut Board Nominees

Feb. 16, 2018 – ATLANTA The Missouri Farm Bureau has announced it is seeking eligible peanut producers who are interested in serving on the National Peanut Board. The Missouri Farm Bureau will hold a nominations election to select two nominees each for member and alternate to the National Peanut Board during a meeting to be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Madrid County USDA- Farm Service Agency (FSA) Service Center Office located at 495 Us Highway 61, New Madrid, Mo. 63869. All eligible peanut producers are encouraged to participate. Eligible producers are those who are engaged in the production and sale of peanuts and who own or share the ownership and risk of loss of the crop and have proof of production records.

 

Eileen Jordan from Rayville, La. is the current At-Large National Peanut Board Member and Micah Barham serves as the At-Large National Peanut Board Alternate from Oak Ridge, La. The term for the current National Peanut Board At-Large Board Member and At-Large Alternate Board Member are set to expire on Dec. 31, 2018.

 
The National Peanut Board encourages inclusion of persons of any race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation and marital or family status. NPB encourages all persons who qualify as peanut producers to attend the meeting and run for nomination.
