FY-18 Plans Head Agenda for National Peanut Board Quarterly Meeting

November 9, 2017 – ATLANTAThe National Peanut Board has scheduled its quarterly Board and committee meetings for December 5-6 at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center, 775 12th Street NW, Washington, D. C.   

“In 2018, we will continue making peanuts relevant to millennials to move toward our goal of becoming America’s undisputed favorite nut,” said Bob Parker, National Peanut Board’s president and CEO. “And, with solid research and official guidelines in place, our role in educating parents and health professionals about early introduction of peanuts to prevent peanut allergies is more important now than ever before. Look for us to engage in more strategic opportunities in 2018.”

New officers will be elected and instated, with terms running from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2018. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the American Peanut Council’s Winter Conference Dec. 6 and 7.

No National Peanut Board meetings are scheduled for Thursday, December 7, 2017. The American Peanut Council Winter Conference is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
