Girl Scout season is officially here, but this year you may not find girls knocking at your door. This year the Girl Scouts of America is allowing troops to sell cookies online via a personal page in addition to door to door and booth sales. Each Girl Scout will have her own personal webpage that she will manage to sell cookies.
In addition to the Girl Scouts cookie program going digital, they also have released three new flavors. Two of the new cookies are gluten-free and the Trio Flavor is a peanut butter oatmeal cookie with chocolate chips. Peanuts and peanut butter are naturally gluten-free. The Trio flavor will be the third peanut butter cookie Girl Scouts has on their menu.
February 27 is National Girl Scout Cookie Day and Girl Scouts all over North America will be celebrating this year for the entire weekend. Girl Scout Cookie Weekend will mark the 98th year of Girl Scouts selling cookies and learning the basic skills on how to be a leader in business.
If you missed Girl Scout cookie sales this year, the manufacturer, Wicked Cool Toys has partnered with Girl Scouts to develop a toy oven that allows aspiring home bakers to bake their favorite peanut butter Girl Scout cookies at home. The cookie oven is a real working oven that comes with packages of cookie mixes in the classic Girl Scout flavors. Now you can have your favorite Girl Scout cookies at home hot out of the oven in minutes!
