The National Peanut Board (NPB) will be in Anaheim, CA from March 3-7, attending Natural Products Expo West 2020. With over 86,000 industry professionals represented, this event is known as the world’s largest natural, organic and healthy products trade show.
The expo plans to highlight the latest in consumer product trends and product innovation. Some early-show trend predications include better-for-you breakfast options, Keto-snacks, and protein-enhanced products. Consumers are continuing to make investments into the ‘gut-brain’ connection – understanding that the foods they eat have a direct impact on their physical and mental well-being. As a result, products are being reimagined into how they can power people to meet their health and wellness goals.
Peanuts are a great, nutrient-dense option for those who are pursuing a keto-friendly diet. Scientific evidence suggests but does not prove that eating 1.5 oz per day of most nuts, including peanuts, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease.
For those of you attending Expo West, you can check out the following products at the National Peanut Board Booth #N1518:
- Dateables – will be launching the world’s first spreadable, shareable and portable superfood product – a date and peanut butter spread. Product is made from sustainable sources, non-GMO, gluten-free vegan and kosher.
- Bamba – sample tastings of the baked snack will be available during the show. The puff contains 50% peanuts, enriched in vitamins and iron and free of preservatives and food coloring.
- Crazy Richards Peanut Butter – bite-sized samples of Wholly Rollies frozen protein balls, a new freezer section category product launch, will be distributed during the show.
