Peter Froese Jr. owns and operates Froese Land and Cattle in Seminole, Texas and was the 2020 chairman of NPB. A fourth-generation farmer, Froese has produced peanuts for 29 years and also grows wheat, cotton and sorghum. Froese is a graduate of Syngenta Peanut Leadership Academy and of Kaplan College Texas Department of Insurance.
Since 1994, Froese has been a member of Western Peanut Growers Association. Froese is a member of the Texas Peanut Producers Board and Texas Farm Bureau and has been a deacon at Seminole Mennonite Evangelical Church since 2002.
He has served as Unit Chairman of Mennonite Disaster Service (responders of natural disasters) since 2004. He is co-owner of several businesses: Sun Cot Cotton Gin since 2005, Jones and Lowe Insurance Agency since 2014, and LoneStar Peanut Company since 2017.
He and his wife Shirley have four children: Westin, Adelheida, Emmaline and Bailey. In his spare time, Froese Jr. likes to hunt, fish and travel with his family.
