Asian Gorp
Ingredients:
1 (12-ounce) package chow mein noodles
2 cups dry-roasted or honey-roasted USA peanuts
2 cups uncooked regular oats
1/2 cup butter or stick margarine
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 (3/4-ounce) envelope hot-and-spicy fried rice seasoning mix
1 (6-ounce) package sweetened dried cranberries

Preparation:
Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl. Melt butter with oil in a large saucepan over medium heat; stir in sugar and seasoning mix. Cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Pour sugar mixture evenly over peanut mixture; toss to coat. Spread mixture in an even layer in a lightly greased 15 X 9-inch jellyroll pan.

Bake at 300°F for 25 minutes, stirring twice. Remove pan from oven; stir in cranberries. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container.
