Chocolate Caramel Peanut Turtles
Ingredients:
1 pkg. (10 oz.) unwrapped caramels
3 tbsp milk
1 ½ c peanut halves
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon shortening

Preparation:
Spray large sheet of aluminum foil with vegetable cooking spray. Place foil on large baking sheet. Melt caramels with milk in heavy saucepan, over low heat, stirring until completely melted. Remove from heat; stir in peanut halves. Cool mixture 2 minutes.

Drop mixture by teaspoonful onto lined baking sheet. (Mixture will spread slightly). Chill 10 minutes or until set. Melt chocolate chips with shortening over medium-heat; spoon chocolate over top of each candy. Chill 5 minutes to set. Store candies in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
