NPB opens the door to new and innovative peanut products at the 2010 Fancy Food Show

Jan 14, 2010 - SAN FRANCISCO — There’s almost no limit to the culinary possibilities of peanuts. The National Peanut Board will showcase new retail creations using peanuts, peanut butter and peanut ingredients like peanut flour at the Fancy Food Show at booth #220, January 16-19, at Moscone Center in San Francisco.
“We like to say that peanuts make the exotic familiar and the familiar exotic. And, they play well with others—adding crunch and taste—but, also providing a wonderful carrier for other flavors,” said Raffaela Marie Fenn, National Peanut Board president and managing director.
Ranging from Montebello Kitchen’s delicious peanut soup to Choco’s Peanut Butter Ice Cream Bon Bons, NPB will demonstrate the versatility of USA-grown peanuts and peanut products. Peanuts are not only the most consumed nut in the country, they also have the most protein of any nut, which means they deliver a cost-effective, popular flavor and a great nutritional ingredient all at the same time.
