National Peanut Board has scheduled its quarterly Board and committee meetings for December 5-7, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The meetings are being held in conjunction with the American Peanut Council’s Winter Conference.
The National Peanut Board (NPB) is pleased to announce the launch of its Export Small Business Pilot Program on June 7, 2011 at NPB’s office in Atlanta, Georgia. The goal of this program is to increase exports of USA-grown peanuts by helping small farmer-owned and other small agri-businesses to develop or increase their peanut exports.
The National Peanut Board voted unanimously to donate $10,000 to support Peanut Proud’s efforts to help areas in Alabama and Mississippi devastated by recent tornados.
The National Peanut Board (NPB) begins taking applications today for the tenth annual Dr. George Washington Carver Award. The award is open to undergraduate and graduate students and the winner receives a $1,000 prize, with a matching amount awarded to the winner’s college for peanut research.
